Vorpal EDGE is Behemoth3's suite of electronic gaming tools. Using the Open Game License and the power of the Web, our community has created many excellent utilities. We believe that this wealth of fan support is part of the reason that the world's most popular roleplaying game is also the world's greatest.

The Vorpal EDGE is created by gathering these tools together and enhancing them with the unique Open Gaming content from our MnM Horde Books. There are times when you want a generic tool, and times that you want something tricked-out to the max. Behemoth3 has already done the work for you; you get a custom engine without having to lift the hood.

One great advantage of Vorpal tools is that they can easily keep pace with the latest software and rules revisions. The EDGE must keep moving to incorporate new breakthroughs in gaming design and community innovation, so these tools will be updated frequently.

Prior to the official launch of the MnM series, this page will mostly contain links to existing utilities embedded in descriptions of the custom tools that are being developed:

  • Victory. An experience/treasure value/challenge rating calculator with buttons assigned to each of the monsters in the horde, so that you can describe the encounter with a few clicks instead of having to enter the CR values yourself

  • SwoRD Project. A database with all the statistics for the new creatures in MnM as well as the core monsters of the Open Game License system, able to print statblocks with as much or little detail as you need, and open to PCs and NPCs developed by the gaming community

  • The Great Leveler. An encounter generator that combines the scalable tactical organization system pioneered in MnM with our statblock database to put together a group of any desired challenge rating

  • Sociobiology. A custom social interaction matrix for each of the monsters in the Horde

  • Phrenology. A complete personality generator that will provide names, statistics, and personality traits using random tables custom designed for each monster

  • Maze Mage. A dungeon generator that uses the theme of the Horde to fill the dungeon with random but inter-related encounters of almost any level you desire
